I don't know what the hell a pokemon is. And I got me a lot of good animals to take care of already. Don't have time for the kind of attention she should get. She's family. She deserves to be treated like something real and not just an oversized toy.
If it makes more sense creatures like her exist in my world like animals do in this one- with powers, I mean. Pokemon aren't toys wtf?
[That's 'what the furret', but be glad you don't have to ask what that is, Daryl]
anyway I'm a trainer, which means I raise them.. have all my life. I can guarantee you if anyone can take good care of her, it's me. Anyway, Red and my roommate already took in the other one, you can see them too if you want to make sure. And meet my team.
She ain't a living creature like an animal. She's more a robot. With programming. A lot of it and a lot of changes, but she ain't really the growing type. imPocreates like her were made as toys, things to play with.
Tetsuo altered her. Now she's more like a housecat, but she still follows her programming, ya know? Don't mean I don't want her cared for like a real thing. Just that you gotta remember she got limits in how she's gonna act that you ain't gonna be able to change with raising or training.
That's fine. There's manmade and programmed Pokemon back home too so it's not so different from anything I'm used to.
What does she eat? Does she need to? Or any other needs for living? I can see if she'll enter a Pokeball, but my empty ones haven't been working quite right since I got here, I think.
[He thinks it's kind of sad that she was made as a plaything, but he can still understand the idea well enough. Porygon had been designed to help scientists navigate cyberspace, but even it had become capable of evolution through software- not that Blue knew too much about how it had worked.]
She don't eat. She's a machine. And all she really needs is room to move around. She'll destroy your house if you ain't careful about giving her stuff that's safe to claw up. Garage is probably okay for her to lay around in.
You'd be better if you'd listen and not keep assuming she's like a poke-whatever you got. Ain't the same thing, kid. She does what she's programmed to. Ain't got thoughts of her own, you know?
Nothing wrong with treating her well, kid. But you gotta treat her right, too. Knowing what she is or ain't capable, actually capable of, is important. You cain't just assume you do cause she's a little like animals you got back home. Tetsuo loved her, but he was also a big old asshole and had people change her programming from what it first was to be more like one of them asshole housecats you see on the internet knocking shit over on counters just to do it.
And if she gets hurt, she ain't gonna bleed the way animals do. She's gonna need a mechanic or whoever's good with robots. I'm decent with 'em. Could probably fix most motor issues.
I want her treated right, okay? Promise me you will or Tetsuo'll have my ass if he ever gets back here.

I'm pretty great, I think.

Yeah well even if she's not one I said I'd take care of her. Her last trainer really loved her, so what's wrong with treating her well?

Re: Text
I'll keep it in mind though. I don't know anything about fixing a machine.
And I wasn't planning on anything other than that.
